THREE: TRIGGERS AND PROJECTIONS
IT'S ALL FAKE. YOU'RE ALL FREE.
Your only job is to step into the moment with power and confidence.
When you are triggered, you are not here.
When you are projecting, you are not here.
Yes, your trauma responses have a source and understanding those sources DO indeed help. But you can overcome them if you never figure out where it all started. You only need to see the pattern. Very often, the pattern will bring you to the source anyway.
So the good news is you don’t have to go on a deep revealing journey to change.
Just know your thoughts are programming. If it’s programming that does not serve you, it’s illusion. If it’s illusion, you are not here. If you are not here, you are in your head. Get out. Be here. You can be here and process thoughts at the same time.
What is triggering you? Is it something to be dealt with in the moment? Then it’s illusion. You are here. THIS is real. You don’t need discovery. You need training.
Everything is a practice in being present. EVERYTHING.
Be present. You’re here. In this space. It’s your highest calling.
When you are projecting, you likely don’t know it.
When you are tense without thought, you are seeking to project…but just haven’t found a target yet.
Come back.
Don’t think…STREAM.
You believe there’s a story being played out in real time. You are playing a character in a story. Your mind is addicted to that story playing out all the time. It’s been trained. Everywhere you go your mind will make efforts to replicate that story by immediately filling in the characters. Good guys and bad guys pop up at a moments notice. These people have NO clue they are being typecast in your story.
Most people do this.
So while you’re projecting, they’re projecting.
The result is we all live in a faux society, where everyone is floating in and out of consciousness.
Your mind is a CHANNEL…a HALLWAY…data enters through your senses. It exits from your (at this point…who fucking knows) and back into the world. Your mind has the ability to process these thoughts and ideas, however we make the massive mistake of trying to process every fucking thing that we see.
Saving. Categorizing. Labeling.
What is it?
What does it mean?
What can be done with it?
How do I feel about it?
Meanwhile, we dump shit signals into our brain.
Weed.
Hard drugs.
Binge watching shows, movies, and games.
Porn.
Knowledge.
Religion.
Alcohol.
I have zero issues with any of these things, by the way. But I used to do all of those things and just became this hole that would never be filled…a man never to feel satisfaction.
Let’s not go too far.
Triggers.
The overwhelming and automatic feelings that control you…bad programming.
Projection.
Your mind seeking out triggers when there are none to be found…creating the story. Filling in the characters with flesh and blood.
Got it?
That explains the issue.
You’re not unique in this sense.
If you’re not unique, there’s no story.
If there’s no story, you can be here.
Look at a face.
Say ‘Hello.’ to it.
Don’t fear it’s reaction or non-reaction.
YOU are the source of ALL your weaknesses and problems.
You are the source of all your POWER and SOLUTIONS.
It’s a self-blame thing or some over hyped taking responsibility shit.
It’s you’re present or you’re not.
A final note:
Rumination and Fantasizing also rob you of the moment. Remembering something bad/good that happened. Imagining something good or bad happening in the future. More stories. Less presence.
Step into the moment with power and confidence.
